Microsoft SharePoint is an application that allows members of a team to share ideas and collaborate online. The software was first launched in 2001 with limited capabilities that were associated with document and content management but the latest version now includes much more features. Because it was develop by Microsoft, SharePoint has an interface that reminds of Microsoft Office and it can easily be integrated into Microsoft Office Suite.
