What is TweetDeck?

Twitter can be of great help when it comes to social media management. However, the question is, how do you make sense of all the tweets, retweets and million other ‘mentions’? It is here that TweetDeck comes to your rescue. Launched in 2008, this app works as your Twitter client, managing your social media online, while you interact with your consumers.

Developed by Dodsworth, TweetDeck makes your life easy. Over the years, TweetDeck introduced support with other social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn. However, in May, 2013 it focused back to Twitter media management.

Who is it best for?

TweetDeck helps enterprises of all kinds to monitor their business flow by attracting traffic to their brand and manage their social media presence on Twitter. If you are a start-up organisation looking for media management on Twitter, TweetDeck can be your ideal choice. It will help you to filter the information from twitter that you want.

Main features and functionalities

TweetDeck can be a stress-reliever when it comes to monitoring your data in a customised form. If you have more than one account on twitter like a professional and a personal one, TweetDeck helps you to manage multiple accounts at a time. You can also connect your multiple blogging platforms which have Twitter-compatible API. This helps you to post directly to your blog via TweetDeck.

TweetDeck does an amazing job in organising your data into vertical columns letting you choose what you want to see. From Mentions to Direct Messages to New Followers, you can put everything into columns. Another helpful feature is that TweetDeck allows you to automatically tweet more than 140 characters and also provides you YRL where you can find your extended tweets. Translations like URL shortening are provided in Dashboard tools.

Also, you can schedule your posts for later. You can set up posts in a queue with their respective time that you want it to go live and TweetDeck does it all for you.
