Who are Accolent ERP's typical customers?

Customers of the software mainly include small and medium businesses. The software manages the supplier operations in such domains and industries as chemical and engineering equipment, transportation, restaurant equipment, building materials, auto parts supplies, medical and dental supplies, irrigation supplies, and others.

Is Accolent ERP the best Distribution?

Accolent ERP is ranked 18 out of 122 software in their category (Distribution systems).

What are their main features and functionalities?

The software features a powerful e-commerce module that helps in broadening the distribution scope over the web. It offers both on premise and web based operation capabilities. Core features dealing with transportation and management include accounting management, customer returns management, e-commerce integration, inventory management, order management, shipping management, and warehouse management.

Accolent ERP also features barcode and RFID scanning, financial reporting, and sales analytics. The complete package includes handheld scanner software to be used for shipping, packing, picking, and other aspects. Separate portals are offered for wholesale customer access along with an internal catalog. Other accounting capabilities include general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, and multi-currency support.

Who are their main alternatives?

Agresso Wholesale by Unit 4 provides a complete solution for Wholesale Distributors that covers the full procure to pay as well as the order to cash cycles. The product includes features that covers supply chain execution and provides fully enabled e-commerce features to enhance the sales offerings of these distributors.

Additionally Agresso Wholesale can handle integration with several transportation carriers, supports project management functionality to effectively manage resources and time utilization, as well as provides a suite of managed maintenance services.

Accolent ERP on the other hand is primarily focused on Accounting, Sales, Purchasing and Inventory management while offering an e-commerce platform for fulfillment as well. This is because Accolent ERP has been developed by ADS Solutions to focus only on the specific requirements of the Wholesale Distribution market. This is unlike Agresso which has been developed to include a number of products in other industries in addition to its Wholesale product.

Then there is NetSuite for Wholesale Distributors which offers wholesale distributors a purely cloud based solution with extensive configuration features to allow customers to customize the product according to their business needs. In addition NetSuite offers reporting analytics for in depth analysis of sales and performance metrics, as well as customizable reports with real time dashboards.

In comparison while Accolent ERP does not offer such in depth configuration & customization options, it does offer customers two deployment options via an on-premise solution or a cloud based solution unlike NetSuite. Yet while Accolent ERP does not currently provide detailed analytics tools, it does address the basic reporting requirements of most common wholesale distributors.

What is the cost of Accolent ERP?

The cost of license starts at $2,500 per license. On top of the total cost of licenses which is easy to calculate - what is the REAL total cost of implementation?
