Acme POS vs. Alternatives in 2023

Some of the main competitors for Acme POS are Lightspeed and Vend.

Lightspeed provides retail management solutions which support both fixed and mobile POS stations. IT can address multi-store operations, e-commerce web stores and is available as a web-enabled application. Some of its main features include point of sales, quotations, sales order processing & inventory management, along with options for suggested selling which sources complementary products for customers to improve cross selling & up selling opportunities. Additionally for financial management the product can be integrated with Quickbooks.

Acme POS in comparison provides a similar solution but focuses on product purchase optimization and customer pricing & promotions to maximize revenue. The product also includes a marketing module to handle customer engagement, with an option to integrate with Infusionsoft for advanced marketing automation requirements. Acme POS also supports web stores as well as sales promotions through social media which in addition to products can include membership and rewards programs.

Then there is Vend whose solution is available in the cloud and is accessible via IPads for use as mobile POS units. However it also provides APIs for integration to multiple third party products. Additionally while it supports the main features of Acme POS, it also provides a suite of business intelligence tools which utilizes analytics & dashboards to monitor performance.

Acme POS on the other hand does include its own analytics tools, but offers only limited integration to other customer applications. Additionally it offers to bundle its own suite of POS units with its solution, or alternatively customers can use their own infrastructure as well.
