Main features and functionalities

AMDM offers a simple enrollment process that allows both administrators and end users to enroll devices. When users enroll they are authenticated and a device profile is setup with the appropriate security restrictions, policies, mobile apps and content which can then be pushed automatically to the device without user interaction. Additionally each user gets a Terms of Use agreement which outlines the conditions and policies that apply to the enrolled device and user. These agreements are customizable and new versions can automatically be sent to users for agreement on publication.

The product also allows administrators to send commands to devices to request information and perform actions as required by their mobile use policies. Additionally AirWatch can send customized messages to users for any information transmission required by the company. There are dashboards as well to monitor in real time all mobile devices and there is the AirWatch Hub which can be configured to display critical information that requires immediate attention or action. The product also includes a library of standard reports as well as a report designer for custom reports. Additionally it has a Datamart facility which allows the export of data from the system to third-party business intelligence solutions for further detailed analysis.

The product also provides APIs for easy integration to third party application software as well as standard integrations to Directory Services, Security Certificates and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and content repositories. In addition it supports a user configurable architecture as well as High Availability & Disaster Recovery. Finally there is the AirWatch market place which gives customers access to mobility solutions for numerous industries.
