The software is a good fix for all business sizes in construction and architecture business. However, it is most suitable for projects whose budget does not exceed $10 million. Mainly the software is deployed in the construction projects of engineering and construction firms.

The software follows the modular architecture and thus the overall feature set is divided into the modules of project management, estimating and accounting. In the project management module of the software, we have such features as contract management, cost management, daily log, document management, procurement, scheduling, and timecard.

Estimating module of Axium contains only two features of conceptual estimates and item lists. The accounting module features applications which are most useful for the financial aspects of your projects. Important features of this module include accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, general ledger, payroll processing, and purchase order.

Axium provides custom dashboard from a central location which can be accessed from anywhere. The software provides the transparency and flexibility used to effectively manage the project and streamline its progress.

BaseBuilders AE provides a solution to handle the project management and accounting requirements for architectural and engineering (A&E) firms. Its features include project tracking for bid preparation & submission, documentation & diagram preparations as well as resource allocation. There is also a CRM system for managing customers, their design requirements as well as proposals. Finally sub-contractors, suppliers and consultants can be tracked in terms of work completion & billable hours to ensure correct invoicing & revenue realizations, through its integration with Quickbooks for financial management.

Axium and its Ajera product provide a similar solution for A&E firms and it is available as a cloud based solution. While it includes some of the main core features of BaseBuilders AE, it also provides APIs for integration to third party applications. Additionally while it manages resource utilization & allocation, there is also a payroll system to handle consultant compensation, along with an integrated accounting system as well.

Clearview on the other hand provides its solution both on premise as well as in the cloud. In addition to the core features of Axium, the product also includes workflow automation & project planning, consultant time & expense tracking, as well as a sales & marketing module to manage customers and improve service delivery opportunities.

While Axium does not include these features currently, the product does provide mobile device access & management of the application. Additionally it includes executive dashboards to track project performance, delivery and profitability as well.
