Is b-pack the best Procurement system?

b-pack is ranked 11 out of 78 software in their category (Procurement systems).

What are their main features and functionalities?

To control the extra spending and keep the cost in required limits, the software offers real time monitoring and management of budget. Budget can be managed down to the specific contracts by integrating it with the rest of the purchasing cycle. The software also offers performance monitoring, forecasting, and improved spend visibility. Support is offered for multi-currency and multi-language operations.

The eProcurement module of the software offers dynamic approval workflows, dispute management, collaboration, and reduction of manual intervention. It also offers eSourcing capabilities of supplier performance and certification management, panel management, eTendering, and contract execution. Integration is offered with various third party systems such as SAP, Oracle, and Sage etc.

Who are their main alternatives?

Procurify is an e-procurement vendor that addresses budget & purchasing management with a focus on workflow activities, improved approval times, and the ability to track the entire purchasing cycle in real time. However BPack in addition to these functionalities also covers invoicing, payables and asset management, as well as offers a supplier portal to track the status of purchases.

In addition BPack offers a suite of optional functionality that can be added based on customer requirements that include fleet management, inventory management, travel & expense management as well as OCR scanning which are not provided by Procurify.

Another key difference is that Procurify currently offers integration to four defined ERP solutions. However Bpack offers an Enterprise Application Integration module that allows it to integrate to all major ERP solutions such as Oracle & SAP, as well as a number of third party applications.

Coupa is another solution provider that provides an e-procurement module similar to BPack, however it is offered entirely as a cloud based solution. In comparison BPack offers both a cloud based solution, as well as on premise solution if it is required, to give its clients the flexibility to choose the solution they need.

However one area in which Coupa has a lead on BPack is in its provision of a Supplier Network through which Suppliers and Buyers can connect virtually to find multiple options for fulfillment. This is a free option offered by Coupa to help its customers enhance their business and is something that is not currently offered by BPack.
