The software manages the pre-construction as well as other phases of the project and aims at reducing its time and cost. Features

The software, just like major construction management solutions, is divided into five modules. These modules are project management, accounting, estimating, service management, and integration. The project management module features bidding, change orders, cost and contract management, daily log, equipment management, and scheduling.

The estimating module features bid comparison, conceptual estimates, cost database, item list, and proposal generator. Under the accounting module, we have the applications of inventory management, job costing, materials management, payroll processing, purchase orders, and materials billing.

The service management features of B2W Estimate include dispatch, service quotes, service contracts, and work orders. B2W Estimate offers integration with several widely used applications such as Microsoft Access, Excel and Oracle. It also offers integration with Department of Transportation (DOT) electronic bidding system.

Competitors & Alternatives

Two important competitors of B2W Estimate are JobTrac Construction Management Software and Sage 100 Contractor software. While B2W Estimate offers both deployment models of on premise and mobile, JobTrac offers only the “on premise” model. Compared with respect to features, there is not a huge difference between the two systems.

Some additional features are offered in the project management module by JobTrac compared to B2W Estimate. These features include facility management and RFIs. However, while B2W Estimate offers integration with Microsoft Access, Excel and Oracle, JobTrac does not offer integration with any of these services.

The other competitor, Sage 100 Contractor, is mainly aimed for small and medium business sizes. In the project management module, B2W Estimate offers the features of bidding, daily log, and timecard which are not offered by Sage 100 Contractor.Just like B2W Estimate, Sage 100 Contractor offers integration with Microsoft Excel.
