Breadcrumb (now Upserve) is a cloud-based all-in-one retail and restaurant POS system designed to boost business efficiency and profits. The software comes with features such as:
  • Restaurants Analytics: Upserve provides insights that make it easy for restaurants to understand and manage labor costs, scheduling, and employee productivity.
  • Menu Intelligence: This feature enables the servers to efficiently and quickly search through menu items or categories and process every order as quickly as possible.
  • Training Mode: Upserve offers practice lessons for new hires making it easy to train staff on using all its restaurant POS features.
  • Offline Mode: Upserve provides offline support that helps restaurants serve their customers even if connectivity is lost.
Upserve acquired Breadcrumb from Groupon in 2016. The restaurant POS system is now operated by Upserve, which was founded in 2009. The company is headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island, United States, and has up to 200 employees.
