C-Store Office delivers back office management solutions for the retail petroleum sector. The software is designed to provide full control over inventory, resources and costs to realize improved operational productivity and revenue.

Petrosoft the developer of C-Store Office was founded in 2002 with the objective of improving retail store automation and management. The company provides a suite of solutions in addition to C-Store Office that includes support for Point of Sale, Food Service and Fuel Management as well.

Who is it best for?

C-Store Office is focused on convenience stores and gas stations and can scale from single stores to chains with multiple stores. The solution is offered as a cloud based solution with a SaaS delivery model which allows the application to be accessible via the web with minimal investment required by the customer and a fixed monthly fee to control costs. There is also an on premise solution for large chain store customers.

The solution can ensure that store managers can reduce their paper work substantially as fuel and sales receipts are automatically updated into the system at regular intervals. Additionally C-Store Office supports automated ordering for efficient inventory management, supplier invoicing for improved tracking, as well as back office accounting to reduce time & costs while improving productivity.

C-Store Office provides integration to all major Point of Sales systems used in convenience stores so it is easy to pull sales information which is a key feature for convenience store managers. Additionally there is support for Electronic Invoicing through EDI with store suppliers and distributors making it easier for the stores to manage inventory. Finally the application is accessible via smart phone and tablet for universal as well as round the clock access to the application

Main features and functionalities

C-Store Office can optimize inventory levels by reducing items that are not good sellers and replacing them with fast moving items to maximize revenue as well as reduce inventory costs.

Additionally the software includes procedures to reduce inventory losses by integrating barcode scanners that make it easy to reconcile physical inventory & deliveries at the item level. Detailed shift reports and cash register logs are also available to reduce theft and fraud as well.

There is also support for an automated price book which lists all inventory prices, barcodes and suppliers. Supplier pricing can be updated automatically through EDI and the price book is fully customizable to match the store’s business requirements.

C-Store Office also allows integration of its accounting system with other packages such as Peachtree, QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics. In addition the system allows the setting of alerts for sales, profit, inventory levels, purchases and a number of other criteria so that store managers can proactively monitor operations & performance. Business Intelligence tools are available as well for detailed analysis of operations, sales, costs and resources.

For those stores that handle lottery tickets there is a lottery management module for tracking tickets & sales as well as a fuel management system to track fuel utilization & payments by grade. Finally there is a time & attendance system with an added payroll module to handle employee payments as well as track productivity & schedules.
