activeCollab Vs. Team.Do: Which is better?

Shlomi Lavi / Aug 15, 2019

Looking for the right Project Management solution for your business? buyers like you are primarily concerned about the real total implementation cost (TCO), full list of features, vendor reliability, user reviews, pros and cons. in this article we compare between the 2 software products:

Vendor comparison

A51 doo: Most companies are founded before they launch their first product. Not A51. The open source version of activeCollab was launched back in summer 2006 as a side project of one of A51′s founders. Although it had a lot of potential, activeCollab as an open source project consumed a huge amount of time without generating any income. A51 was started in summer 2007 with the purpose of developing and supporting a commercial version of activeCollab, while keeping the core values of the system – openness, flexibility and the option to host the system on your own server. Growing from its start as a side project of one person, activeCollab is now the full time job of a dedicated team of developers. A51 d.o.o. is settled in Novi Sad, Serbia. We are developing solutions that make teamwork more pleasant and productive. We believe that projects succeed because of good communication and execution, not because of charts and reports. We are trying to implement that credo into our products daily.

Thrive: Currently Founder and Product Designer at Thrive, a fast growing cloud software company based in the UK. In what seems a lifetime ago I had a successful career as a graphic designer. Thrive was born from my drive to create beautiful but functional software. I'm focussed with an analytical mind, enjoying the role of problem solver.

Pricing/cost comparison

The real cost of Project Management software includes the software license, subscription fees, software training cost, customization cost, required hardware, and the cost of maintenance & support and other related services. It's critical that you account for all of these costs to gain an understanding of the system's "total cost of ownership".
