eSUB vs. Alternatives in 2023

Even though it is the first kind of Construction software that fits subcontractors, it has some competitions, which include Procore, Fieldwire, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Functionality: While Autodesk and eSUB have an Autodesk BIM 360, Procore, Autodesk and Fieldwire are known for features like Construction risk safety, data analytics, and construction drawing management. However, none of these alternative systems has advanced tracking, field reporting, etc., of a subcontractor found in eSUB.
  • Customer/Industry: Compared to its alternatives, eSUB is made exclusively for self-performing commercial subcontractors. Autodesk can be used by general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and project managers.
  • Cost: eSUB does not provide its pricing information. However, expert research states that its cost rating is 1.1 compared with its alternatives, which means it is a low-cost construction software. Both Autodesk and Procore offer a free trial. However, eSUB does not. Procore also does not provide its pricing information. On the other hand, Autodesk paid plans to start at $49/month. Fieldwire has a Free trial and a free Basic plan. It also has annual plans, including a Pro plan that costs $29 per user/month, a Business plan that costs $49 per user/month, and a Premier plan that costs $89 per user/month.
  • Cloud-Based/On-premise: eSUB, Autodesk, Fieldwire, and Procore are all cloud-based software.
  • Support: Compared to its competitors, eSUB lacks some basic support channels. It does not have a Knowledge base, FAQ/Forum, or 24/7 live rep. It only has phone support and Chat. Procore has all these support channels, while Autodesk only comes short with a 24/7 live rep.
