Udemy is an online course marketplace for the same client size and price range as Coursera. Udemy offers over 65,000 courses on a wider range of specializations such as development, programming, design, business and more, unlike Coursera. Udemy’s pricing model is one-time payment only which means users only pay for courses they want to take so there’s no need to subscribe.

However, Udemy does not offer degree courses from top universities in the world which Coursera has. Both have high vendor reputation online and are beneficial as online learning platforms. Lynda is an online learning site for individuals to large enterprises. Lynda pricing is lower than Coursera and on a monthly subscription basis.

Lynda has better assessment feature than Coursera since it allows students to build projects as their proficiency. Both have excellent customer review rating online and Lynda can be a cheaper alternative to Coursera.
