DonorVision vs. Alternatives in 2023

DonorVision has two main competitors which are MatchMaker Fundraising software and eTapestry.

MatchMaker Fundraising software is available as both an on premise and cloud based solution. It supports donor management & numerous types of donations, event management, as well as a good reporting system that can analyze donor giving patterns and evaluate them against configurable KPIs. The product also provides support for accounting through its integration with Quickbooks.

DonorVision on the other hand consists of two modules. One is to handle fundraising requirements while the other handless accounting specifically for fundraising & donations. Organizations can choose either one or both packages as part of their requirements and there is also a free product trial to start. The product is provided as a cloud based solution and is built on the Microsoft platform, offering a good option of integration to Microsoft Office 365 as well.

Another competitor is eTapestry which is also available as a cloud based solution. Some of its unique features include a health scorecard for a donor that basically evaluates them based on donation history and recommends either dropping them, or if suitable suggests marketing strategies to seek new donations. Additionally the software is connected with the National Change of Address service to validate all donor contact information on a regular basis.

Currently DonorVision does not address these features. However it does include a constituent management module which is quite similar to a CRM, and it can be utilized for donor analysis as well a gift management module which can handle both one time as well as recurring donations.
