Who are Eclipse's typical customers?

The software is a viable solution for medical practices and businesses of all sizes. From small private clinic to large multi-location facilities, the software can be deployed in any medical business and any major domain of medicine. Some notable clients of the software include Dr Cohen Incorporated, Jones Chiropractic Clinic, and Rangeline Chiropractic etc.

Is Eclipse the best Medical Billing?

Eclipse is ranked 7 out of 95 software in their category (Medical Billing systems).

What are their main features and functionalities?

The electronic claims management system of the software is HIPPA certified and supervises such aspects as billing, scheduling, alerts and notifications, reminders, as well as document management. The software has the ability of pulling up multiple patient files without any need of undoing the previous activity, thus saving time and capital.

The software allows doctors to update the patient folders directly from the treatment rooms. Appointments and services of multiple patients can be simultaneously edited and patient-specific data is maintained at a centralized location form where it is easy to access for the staff.

Who are their main alternatives?

Nextech is a software provider that handles Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Patient Management (PM) and Revenue Management for insurance claims and reimbursement. There is also a Patient Engagement module which provides an online patient portal through which a medical practice can schedule & follow up appointments as well as medical checkups, conduct medical awareness campaigns, and maintain regular follow up with patients

Eclipse on the other hand while not having a patient portal, has a completely operational EMR system that allows for documentation of all patient clinical data, digitization of all medical records, billing & payments, as well as appointment scheduling. There is also a management reporting module through which proactive alerts and reminders can be generated, as well as a configurable dashboard for patient and operational monitoring.

However Nextech makes a distinction to support at least six medical specialties. This ensures the software can handle the specific requirements for clinical care in these areas. Eclipse does not currently have the ability to distinguish between different specialty requirements.

AlleiganceMD is another competitor that is one of the few fully certified EMR providers with a Government certification for Meaningful Use Stage 2. Eclipse currently does not have this certification

Additionally AlleiganceMD has an Artificial Intelligence Expert system that learns office procedures and clinical decision making to enable it to intelligently suggest and complete routine tasks, thereby improving overall productivity. Eclipse does not currently provide such features and is more focused on the billing automation and electronic records side of patient care.

What is the cost of Eclipse?

The cost of license starts at $19,000 per license. On top of the total cost of licenses which is easy to calculate - what is the REAL total cost of implementation? You need to add the cost of training, customization, data migration, and other "hidden cost". ITQlick pricing score is 2.4 out of 10 (10 is most expensive).
