ePAC Average Rating -

The average rating of ePAC is 4 stars. The rating is based on 3 aggregated online reviews.

ePAC Typical Customers

EPac is focused on the manufacturing, government, energy, health care, hospitality and service industries. It is scalable for all sizes of business and is available as an on premise, hosted or SaaS delivery model.

The solution is best suited for those companies who are focused on ensuring the reliability and productivity of their assets. EPac can support the full operations of a maintenance organization that includes asset management, work order & inventory management, preventive maintenance planning, requisitions & purchasing, as well as management of technicians and field personnel.

EPac is also best for companies that need to measure their performance and this is done through the inclusion of a maintenance performance index for an organization. The index is composed of performance categories such as reliability, workforce productivity, customer service, financial performance & materials management. Each category has defined metrics which the company can assign values based on their performance objectives. EPac then determines actual values for each metric and then calculates the composite percentage score. This provides a clear picture of how well maintenance organizations are achieving their goals as well as where they might need to improve.

Current customers of EPac include Atlanta International Airport, Raytheon, Ceramatic, Goodrich Corporation and McFarland Clinic PC.

ePAC Features

EPac is designed to support both multi-site and multi-plant maintenance organizations. The inventory module in EPac covers multiple location storerooms with requisition forecasting, critical spare tracking, order to stock conversion as well as an assets bill of materials. Work Order management is focused on Reliability Centered Maintenance & Root Cause Analysis so that there can be automated requisitioning based on the Work Order.

There is also support for detailed Preventive Maintenance planning & scheduling to ensure down time is minimized. In addition Asset Management includes critical asset definition, asset tracking & asset hierarchy based on product rankings. Then there is Resource Management that includes employee skills definition, training & certification tracking as well as rates & productivity monitoring.

There are numerous standard reports in EPac available for review and KPI analysis, as well as an option for ad-hoc and user defined reporting. In addition the product supports access via web client or mobile device to allow real time flow of information between field personnel, plant employees, supervisors and managers. Finally the software is built on the Microsoft .Net technology platform that allows EPac to integrate with other third party software.

ePAC Alternatives

The main competitors for EPAC are Emaint X3 and Maintenance Connection.

Emaint X3 provides a solution to manage assets and maintenance requirements. The product is web-based and its core features include equipment information management which includes technical information, service history & resolutions, as well as scheduling of regular maintenance to ensure all assets are in working condition. The product also supports inspections to determine preventive maintenance needs, and includes stock management to handle parts replacement along with procurement for inventory ordering.

EPAC on the other hand provides a similar solution with the options to deploy on premise, in the cloud or as a hosted solution. The product includes many of the same features as Emaint X3 but also handles resource management, allocation and scheduling. Additionally it has dashboards to monitor important service & operational KPIs which include a Maintenance Performance Index which seeks to give a combined effectiveness score to the entire maintenance operations.

Another option is provided by Maintenance Connection which provides service technicians mobile device access with personalized work centers to monitor job schedules, request information and update status of in-progress assignments. In addition to the core features of EPAC the product also includes a knowledge base for reference by technicians, as well a training development module for skills improvement and certification requirements.

While EPAC does not support all of these features, it does provide mobility solutions as part of its product offerings. Additionally there is an event-triggered alerting system that advises service managers about schedule maintenance dates as well as equipment issues based on direct data feeds and technician updates.
