ePMX vs. Alternatives in 2023

EPMX has two main competitors and they are Coupa Procurement and Pecos.

Coupa Procurement offers a cloud based procurement solution that can handle purchase requisitions, purchase orders with ecommerce support, budgeting as well as inventory management. The product is based on workflows which can be configured to match business requirements as well as procurement rules. Additionally there is a repository of purchasing policies to ensure proper compliance with regulations, a shopping cart facility to enable procurement users to browse for products, as well as a collaborative platform to rate and share supplier information to improve procurement decisions.

EPMX on the other hand also offers a customizable workflow based procurement system. However it also supports vendor ratings with preferred pricing, as well as flexible reporting to show purchasing history, vendor delivery & quality performance, as well as return on investment metrics. Additionally it includes supports for RFQs, asset management as well as shipment receiving. The product is also available as an on premise, hosted or cloud based system based on customer requirements.

Then there is Pecos which supports the full procure to pay cycle and can work in a multi-lingual & multi- currency environment. Additionally it provides a sourcing module to qualify suppliers, support both RFIs & RFQs, and includes supplier auctions to get the optimal pricing for potential purchases.

While EPMX does not support all of these features, it does provide a modular architecture so companies can only choose the ones they require for their procurement function. Additionally it allows easy integration to third party software which is not completely supported by its competitors.
