Float pricing: How much does it cost in 2024?
Float is a task management tool that offers two pricing plans for its users: resource planning, and resource planning & time tracking. The cost of each plan is
-
Resource Planning: If paid monthly, this plan costs around $7.50 per user per month. If paid annually, this plan costs around $6 per user per month.
-
Resource Planning & Time Tracking: If paid monthly, this plan costs around $12.50 per user per month. If paid annually, this plan costs around $10 per user per month.
Prices and Plans Compared
The plan with only resource planning allows users to create unlimited projects, reporting, and scheduling. Moreover, users can benefit from instant planning via mobile apps. However, this plan does not allow users to time track. Also, the users cannot estimate their time for each task.
The plan with resource planning and time tracking allows users to do both project management and time tracking. The users can compare their expected time and actual time to create visuals and reports helpful for their project. With the easy-to-use mobile app, the users can log their hours on the go, which gives this plan an edge over the previous plan.
As compared to its competitors such as Asana and Trello, the users cannot create custom workflows as required. However, the users can integrate Float with third-party tools. The users can arrange and update tasks as they need. The forecasting based on time and resources further makes Float an easy-to-use resource management and time-tracking tool.
Which Plan Is Right for You?
Float is fit for users that require a tool for resource management and time tracking specifically. Even though it allows project management and collaboration, these are not the core focus of Float. If your organization just needs to plan tasks and manage resources, then the plan with resource management is enough.
However, if your organization is required to time track your resources along with reports, then the resource management plus time-tracking plan can be the right fit. It is important to note that users can shuffle tasks and resources as required.
Compared to Trello, which also allows resource management in the projects, Float is easier to use and users get deeper insights into the overall time spent on each task by the resources. It offers powerful reporting with support for resource allocation based on their estimated time. But again the project management features in all the plans are limited in Float.
Additional Costs
The users need to pay an additional amount of $7.50 per user per month for the Plus Pack that allows users Single sign-on, domain restrictions, domain restrictions, advanced activity log, custom contract, and assigned account manager.
