The software features include strategic cost management, supply chain collaboration, tall spend management, and opportunity assessment.

GEP SMART was founded by Roopa Gandhi and co-founded by Subhash Makhija, Jagdish Turimella, and Neha Desai Shah under the stables of GEP Worldwide. GEP Worldwide was founded in 1999 and is currently based in Clark, Tennessee, United States, with an employee size of about 1001-5000 persons. The software won the 2020 Best Procurement Software Award and the HFS Research Top 10 Source-To-Pay Providers.
