With various document sharing and review tools, it is essential to understand if iAnnotate fits your business needs.
  • Functionality PDF Expert has been giving a tough competition to iAnnotate for quite some time. Unfortunately, PDF Expert is only available for MAC and other Apple devices. Just like iAnnotate, it helps you edit, review, sign, and share your PDFs as needed. However, the format support for PDF Expert is limited to PDFs. iAnnotate can help you edit various document formats, including PDF, DOC, XLS, PPT, IMAGE. In addition, you can add comments using pen, typewriter, highlighter, and more in any of these formats. Another competitor for iAnnotate is Notability. Notability gives you the freedom to draw, write, and create pretty much anything into PDFs. It is more towards a simple note-taking system, which works well if you focus on taking notes. However, iAnnotate must be mature and feasible for enterprise needs. From tagging and marking up texts and images, searching documents in various ways, and sharing support, outs iAnnotate at an advantage. Goodnotes is also a known competitor of iAnnotate. Goodnotes has all the features that iAnnotate has, but one feature differentiates it from iAnnotate, i.e., the math conversion. Thus, for enterprises working on much math, Goodnotes can be a suitable option.
  • Synching : Whether iAnnotate, Goodnotes, PDF Expert, or Notability, all allow you to back up your data on your cloud storage systems, including Google Drive, iCloud, One Drive, and Dropbox.
  • Pricing: The pricing for PDF Expert pro starts at $49.99 per year. However, they do offer a free trial that you can use. In contrast, Notability is priced at $8.99 per user with no free trial available. Finally, the price of Goodnotes is around $7.99 with no free trial as well.
