Emaint X3 covers work orders & scheduling, asset control, purchasing & inventory, as well preventive maintenance scheduling. The product also supports condition based monitoring to check asset & equipment health, to proactively predict maintenance requirements to minimize unplanned downtime or work stoppages. Additionally there is a “Hub” for maintenance managers to view in real time all assets’ maintenance schedules and current operations for a unified view of organizational service requirements.

Maintenance Connection in comparison does not support predictive maintenance, but does include a library of maintenance procedures which can be utilized for internal servicing needs. Additionally there is support for online service training to improve the skills of technicians. Maintenance Connection also provides a work center for technicians to monitor their work allocations; time expended and completed work, and is also accessible by mobile devices for use on the shop floors.

Benchmate on the other hand can handle multiple sites for maintenance requirements and includes a “Hyperlink” feature to access detailed information about a given site. The information is displayed in the form of an AutoCAD diagram which determines asset location and shows related information about history, current status as well as maintenance needs. The product also supports emergency maintenance repairs as well as planned upgrades to extend asset lifecycles.

While Maintenance Connection does not fully support these features, it is provided as hosted solution either online or at the client’s site. Additionally the product supports integration to third party applications and can easily be scaled to any size of maintenance operations.
