Brightly Software vs. Alternatives in 2024

The main competitors for MaintenanceEdge are MaintenancePro and Mainteance.IO.

MaintenancePro is on premise maintenance management software. Its features include asset & equipment management as well as spare parts inventory. Additionally it supports preventive maintenance to schedule regular servicing to ensure equipment is kept in good working order and downtime is minimized. The product also supports workflows to handle repair management and service scheduling, employee allocation, as well as a report designer to develop customized reports for maintenance review and analysis.

MaintenanceEdge on the other hand is provided as a cloud based solution which addresses asset maintenance requirements and includes a scheduler to ensure planning for the same. Additionally it includes workflow based repair management with support for maintenance budgeting that is based on historical review. This also includes cost planning for both labor and parts that might be required to ensure proper valuation of maintenance requests.

Then there is Maintenance.IO which supports similar core maintenance features, but also provides mobile device access with QR Code scanning to allow instant access to asset history & information. Additionally there are online maintenance portals for collaboration between users and service teams to handle maintenance requests, as well as support for external vendors in the case the internal maintenance teams do not have the skills to handle the necessary maintenance or repairs.

While MaintenanceEdge does not support these features, it is part of a facility management suite of tools that provides additional functionality. This includes options for spare parts inventory management, capital asset maintenance forecasting, as well as preventive maintenance if needed.
