Maxoptra vs. Alternatives in 2023

Maxoptra has two main competitors which are Telogis Route and Descartes Route Planner.

Telogis Route is focused on the optimization of delivery routes to ensure shipments reach on time with better cost management and thus more profitability. The product consists of a territory analyzer to determine location and possible routes, a planner to review the best routes, and a scheduler to determine the best times to dispatch the goods. Additionally there is an optimization engine which continuously reviews all routes and shipment dispatches, and if required modifies schedules in real-time in case there are any bottlenecks which might cause delays.

On the other hand Maxoptra is focused on providing route scheduling solutions for SMBs. While it does not focus on route optimization it does allow the creation of schedules tied to delivery timeframes and driver availability. Additionally the software is available for access via mobile devices so it can track in real time the location of dispatched goods as well estimate delivery times. If needed Maxoptra also allows dynamic route adjustments to handle unexpected delays.

Then there is Descartes Route Planner which seeks to optimize the route planning process through its adaptive planning engine which dynamically modifies schedules to reflect new orders. It provides a single visual display of a company’s full fleet with location, and includes a geographical intelligence module to help in maximizing route efficiency.

Maxoptra also provides visual analysis of route information, but includes a strong reporting engine as well to track delivery performance as well as exceptions which can be used to improve future route scheduling.
