NAVTEQ, which is now HERE software, is a cloud-based location intelligence software solution that offers mapping & navigation services, as well as location services for various consumers and businesses. HERE offer end-end solutions for in-vehicle infotainment, connected vehicles, and autonomous driving.Here software is a product of HERE Technologies which is presently based in Amsterdam. It was previously owned by NAVTEQ® Maps which founded in 1985 in the US. HERE Software captures location data like road networks, parks, traffic patterns, and buildings, and sells the content together with navigation services.
It usually sells this content to companies like Alpine, BMW, Oracle, Garmin, and Amazon.com. HERE also provides platform services compatible with smartphones. It is a combination of Nokia maps and the former NAVTEQ.
