Competitors & Alternatives
The key competitors for Practice Fusion are CGM Clinical and Praxis EMR.CGM Clinical supports electronic health records and patient management in one integrated system. The product is also workflow based and can be customized to meet the process needs of the practice. Its main features include medical charts which can be accessed & updated via tablets, as well as online portals for patients to request appointments, connect with doctors and monitor health updates & reminders. The product also monitors service delivery by measuring quality metrics for treatment and patient satisfaction.
Practice Fusion in comparison is cloud based and includes the features of CGM Clinical. However it also provides electronic prescriptions and submission of lab test results. Additionally it can handle patient referrals, and has an integrated billing module to handle patient invoicing and medical claims processing. Practice Fusion is also template based and addresses the requirements of over twenty five medical specialties.
Then there is Praxis EMR which although is a cloud based system, does not support templates like Practice Fusion. Instead it relies on Concept Processor which is an expert system that draws on previous clinical reviews to recommend treatment plans. It also support the diagnosis process through its provision of multiple specialty based medical knowledge bases for enquiry, with an option to refer complex cases to field experts for recommendations.
Practice Fusion does not support these features, but it does allow patient surveys to gauge satisfaction and identify areas for process improvement. The product also has a collaboration platform to connect doctors and staff for seamless transfer of information.
