Protel also allows users to print invoices and access post charges while enabling current exchange and exchange-rate features. The software helps the hotel management to create work roster using an attendant sheet.In addition, Protel helps create maintenance schedules, analyze actual vs estimated costs, and scan various passports and IDs. Some of the key features of Protel PMS are; Booking & reservations, billing & invoicing, housekeeping and maintenance. Protel was founded in 1994 by Ingo Dignas and Manfred Osthues. The company is headquartered in Dortmund, Germany, with about 201-500 employees.
