  • Help Desk: End-users can utilize this tool to remain on top of tickets, allowing them to respond and resolve them more rapidly. This feature is simple to set up, with only the required functionality. Works with an online inventory.
  • Connectivity Dashboard: In a single view, end-users can monitor the availability of essential infrastructure devices and online applications. When these resources are down or unreachable from remote sites, users will get real-time email warnings.
  • Remote Support: End-users can utilize the internet to connect to the PCs of their client.
  • Inventory: In minutes, end-users can scan their IP devices and gather complete hardware and software information. It is compatible with Cloud Help Desk.
  • Tracking Vendor Contracts: This feature enables end-users to get rid of the sticky notes and keep track of all of their IT vendor contracts in one spot. End-users can be aware of impending contract expiration dates so they can renegotiate or cancel in advance of time, and share their contact list with coworkers.

Main features and functionalities

Spiceworks scans your network when you install it for the first time and looks for all the devices connected to the PC and in the specified IP range. Once the software gets the required inventory, it can identify a client PC make and model all by itself and then show you the PC specs, free displace and the software installed on it. However, the difficult part is building the inventory. The software always monitors the network and gives alert whenever there is a problem. Users will know if a PC is not updated properly or if a printer is running low on ink.

The software also comes with Spiceworks Mobile Device Management Software to help users manage all the tablets and smartphones of a place. You can inventory all the tablets and phones in one spot and monitor, report on these devices for free. You can control devices, add policy enforcement, advanced security, app distribution at an additional cost. The software can work as a free help desk software where people can submit tickets via a web portal or email and it is also possible to automate group tickets by a little custom tweaking.
