SysAid is an IT helpdesk service management program that automates business processes for helpdesk and includes configurations for hardware, asset and mobile management, tasks, software licenses and others. SysAid can be used on cloud or in-house. It is available in different versions as well.

SysAid is by an international firm SysAid Technologies founded in 2002. SysAid specializes in developing IT services management solutions. Many companies are now using the company’s products across the globe. They have offices in different parts of the globe such as Israel, Australia and Brazil.

The main competitors for SysAid are Epicor ITSM and ChangeGear Service Desk.

Epicor ITSM supports the ITIL standard for IT service management. Its features include a help desk to track issues, problem resolution and change management if either a product or process change is needed to resolve a given issue. Additionally there is support for tracking IT infrastructure including hardware, software and networking components to manage asset lifecycles using a configuration management database or CMDB. Epicor ITSM also provides service level agreements to manage performance, as well as self service portals with knowledge bases to help users log & resolve their issues if possible.

SysAid on the other hand provides a similar ITIL certified solution which can be customized to business process requirements and also provides APIs for integration to other customer applications. Additionally its asset management module can handle mobile device management as well as software patch management to ensure the latest releases are deployed.

Then there is ChangeGear Service Desk which includes a number of the same features along with a collaboration platform for information sharing and workflow automation to ensure a structured review and approval process. The product is also available as an on premise or cloud based solution and includes intelligent search options coupled with analytics for operational analysis and monitoring.

SysAid is also available as an on premise or cloud based solution, but also provides mobile device access as well. Additionally the product allows remote desktop management for critical service issues, with analytic tools to measure performance against industry benchmarks along with dashboards to monitor operations.
