The Applicant vs. Alternatives in 2023

The main competitors for the Applicant Manager are Appliview and Zoho Recruit.

Appliview’s features include candidate communications which is integrated with Microsoft Outlook, and an application workflow from job definition to candidate selection. Jobs can be posted on the company website, job portals as well as social media and there are online options for candidates to upload their details and resumes. The product also provides candidate screening services, as well as manages interviews and the selection process using an applicant scoring methodology.

The Applicant Manager on the other hand also provides similar features but it includes direct integration to paid job boards for posting requirements. Additionally the product provides pre-screening questionnaires which can be customized to qualify candidates for positions. There is also support for integration to LinkedIn and other social media, with portals for third party recruiters to access and provide potential candidates for currently listed jobs.

In comparison Zoho Recruit includes a number of the same features, but can also address the recruitment needs of both companies as well as recruitment agencies. In addition it includes a resume parser which draws information about a candidate from multiple sources to provide a unified view of his or her qualifications & experience. The product is also based on workflows and can easily be customized to meet job hiring process requirements.

The Applicant Manager does not current support these features but does comply with a number of employment regulations to ensure ethical hiring practices. It is also available as a cloud based solution and offers mobility solutions to both applicants and recruiters.
