Workfront pricing: How much does it cost in 2023?

The license cost of Adobe Workfront is complex, even though it is not publicly published. The license pricing structure is customized according to company needs but has a starting pricing of $30 per user per month.

Workfront Monthly Pricing Plans

Prices and Plans Compared

Workfront has 3 pricing plans: the Pro, Business, and Enterprise. However, the charges for these plans are not written on their website.

The difference in the Workfront pricing structure is not too wide. For example, the Pro plan has most of the features the project management system offers. Still, it lacks Enhanced analytics, On-demand case escalation, Alignment scorecards, and Portfolio Optimizer, among others.

The Business plan has the Pro Plan missing features but lacks features like the Audit rights, has allocated 3000/license/24 hrs. for REST API and Event subscription access. The Enterprise plan has all the Business and Pro plan missing features plus unlimited subscription access missing in the Business plan plus access to some add-ons.

Which Plan Is Right for You?

Workfront by Adobe is fit for enterprise-level businesses as it is designed to be too formal and handle large projects. The design of the software and the structure of its pricing plans indicate that. For example, the software enables employees to handle different tasks (has various task templates), track progress, review the tasks done, and approve them.

Unless you are a small business with few employees handling various tasks and complex needs (like the AI-enabled team scheduling), we do not think Workfront will be a good fit.

Additional Costs

Workfront has additional charges aside from its license plans from our research. The enterprise project management software has add-ons like Workfront Goals, Workfront Fusion, and Scenario Planner, which are all paid for, but their prices are not made public.

Our Veredict

The Adobe Workfront project management software does not have a free license, so we will have to give our verdict based on the actual paid plans. In terms of pricing, Workfront is average priced compared to its alternatives.

Even though Workfront has additional fees in the form of add-ons, some of its competitors also have paid add-ons. For example, Wrike has add-ons like Wrike Market Insights, Wrike Integrate, Wrike Lock, and others. Jira Software has Atlassian Access which is a security add-on.

However, the fees for these add-ons are not made public by these project management systems.

For features, Workfront has more features than its alternatives when compared plan by plan. Some features available on the starting plan of Workfront but missing in its competitors are the  Request queues with auto-routing, AI-enabled team scheduling, and a few others.

However, as mentioned, Workfront is best suited to enterprise-level organizations, unlike its alternatives that various business sizes can use.
