Xledger vs. Alternatives in 2024

Cougar Business Accounting provides an accounting solution designed for small businesses. It is a modular solution so that customers can choose the module needed for its business requirement, with the option to add modules as business expands. Additionally it has an Audit Trail for transaction tracking and fraud prevention, as well as integrated Point of Sale, Bar Coding and Payroll solutions. Finally the software is available as both an on-premise and cloud based solutions.

Xledger on the other hand is also a financial accounting package, but includes project accounting, resource planning, as well as customer & supplier management that Cougar Business Accounting does not. It also supports business accounting reporting, dashboards, and focuses on procurement logistics as well. Additionally the software is available solely as a cloud based solution and is scalable for any size of business.

Then there is SAP Financials OnDemand which is a cloud based solution. The software is mobile device access ready and had integrated business intelligence tools for complex data analytics to reveal real- time views of a business’s liquidity and cash flow. Additionally SAP Financials OnDemand is a globalized product which includes both local and global accounting rules as well supports multiple languages. The product can also easily be integrated with SAP’s other cloud offerings such as Sales, Travel and Payroll, allowing customers to grow their solution to incorporate other modules of SAP’s portfolio as their business expands.

Xledger on the other hand does support these features but does offer open integration to other third party ERP solutions, and is not confined to SAP as with Financials OnDemand.
