Zoom is a cloud-based video conferencing software used by individuals and enterprises to hold virtual meetings using its integrated communication tools. Users can make video or audio calls and have access to its numerous features, which includes:
  • Video Conferencing: Zoom has a video conferencing system that makes meetings easy through HD video or audio calls. It facilitates standard video conferencing on mobile phones or desktops, syncs with the users calendars, and has robust security and passcode settings to prevent meeting disruption.
  • Webinars: With the Zoom webinar feature, users can hold webinars for as many as 50000 people. The live HD video platform can also be connected to Facebook live, Instagram, and other social media to accommodate external audiences. The webinar also allows the users to make in-session chat, respond to polls, attend Q&A, gather feedback through a survey, amongst other functions.
  • Virtual Workspaces: Zoom also has modern workspaces for groups called Zoom Rooms. It can be used in conference rooms, offices, or classrooms to share content among a group of recipients. It enables a remote user to hold a live HD Video meeting with a group of people in the conference room.

Zoom offers free as well as paid plans. It has plans for personal meetings, for a maximum of 100 people, 1000 people, and more. The Basic Plan; This is a free plan that can be used for personal meetings and hosts a maximum of 100 persons. Group meetings can be held for 40 minutes, while a two-person meeting has a maximum time frame of 30 hours.

The Pro Plan: The price is $14.99/month/license. It can host up to 100 participants and has a social media streaming feature, a 30-hour group meeting, and a 1GB cloud storage/ license.

The Business Plan: The business plan can host up to 300 participants. Its price is $19.99/month/license. It has additional features such as transcript recording, company branding, domain management, and a single sign-on.

The Enterprise Plan: An enterprise plan is tailor-made for large enterprises. It can host up to 500 participants. It has the same price and business plan features but has unlimited cloud storage and transcript recording.

All the paid plans of Zoom can allow a maximum of 1000 participants. They can also subscribe for extra paid add-ons such as audio conferencing at $100/month and cloud storage at $40/ month.
