Hydra PPM vs. Alternatives in 2024

Hydra PPM’s main competitors include Daptiv PPM and Innotas PPM.

Daptiv PPM provides a project portfolio management solution which includes dynamic application development to meet specific business process requirements. Features for PMOs include demand management & capacity planning, resource management, project management & financials as well as portfolio management. New product development additionally maps out development concepts while professional services include opportunity development, invoicing & performance management. IT management on the other hand addresses governance issues and IT services management standards.

Hydra PPM in comparison focuses on similar functional solutions except for product development. Its features include project planning & management which analyzes project & task requirements for resource assignment. Planning can be done both online & offline to allow for easier on-site utilization. Additionally there is capacity & resource modeling which looks at skills required from available resource pools & profiles.

Then there is Innotas which incorporates predictive portfolio analysis to determine the projects that have the best probability to succeed with the available resources. Additionally the product uses a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) which scores compliance with strategic targets to ensure projects remain on time and within budget. Innotas is also provided as a cloud based solution with integration options to multiple third party software.

While Hydra PPM does not support these features, it does allow linkage of multiple projects in one portfolio to ensure proper dependency building and more efficient time and resource allocation strategies. There is also a collaboration platform for information sharing and a comprehensive reporting & dashboard facility which can be customized for modeling, analysis and reviews.
