Gametize vs. Alternatives in 2024

Some of the main competitors for Gametize are GamEffective and Conteneo.

GamEffective is a collaboration oriented gamification system that works on the basis of narrative or process gaming rather than event driven gaming. The system can be used to map an organization’s workflows and monitor employee behavior, integrate competitions to match their job processes, and incentivize their work through points tracking, leader board recognition as well as rewards. Competition scoring is based on a process weightage scheme to ensure high value activities are graded & rewarded accordingly.

In comparison Gametize provides a flexible game development platform that can be customized to meet specific event and tasks of a business. Rewards are provided on event completion as well as random awards which are given to encourage positive behavior. The system incorporates a quest gaming system wherein participants must take up a challenge to achieve defined milestones with moderators to track progress and act as referees to ensure transparent competition.

Then there is Conteneo which looks to tie gaming to achievement of business strategy objectives. It does this by considering such things as employee productivity, sales & financial targets, as well as operational processes and developing games around these factors. While it does not work on the challenge concept of Gametize, it does provide a tournament concept for team competition to incentivize staff to meet their objectives.

While Gametize does not provide these features it does provide an open API for integration to a variety of applications and websites for gamification. Additionally there is an online store through which participants can quickly redeem rewards.
