instantOLAP vs. Alternatives in 2024

InstantOLAP includes Ubiq and Jaspersoft OLAP as its main competitors.

Ubiq provides an online analytics processing (OLAP) reporting solution. It is a web application and can access data locally or remotely via the cloud. Its features include data visualization & cube analysis, trend reports & information discovery, as well as dashboards to monitor important KPIs. It also offers a collaboration platform to share information, reports & analysis, in order to help in business decision making.

InstanOLAP on the other hand also works with the same reporting framework as Ubiq. However it includes a central user portal to handle all reporting & analysis requirements, as well as supports virtual cubes for instant analysis and offline cubes that can be reviewed in standalone mode. Additionally as it is a java based tool it can be run on any platform, and compresses large data volumes into MOLAP cubes which improves query performance.

Then there is Jaspersoft OLAP which offers a similar reporting solution that includes support for production reporting, dashboards & data mashups, as well as in memory information analysis for higher performance queries. Additionally the product can be integrated with other applications and supports embedded analytics for customer specific requirements. It can also access a variety of databases for its reporting and data discovery needs.

InstantOLAP on the other hand does not support all of these features, but does provide a number of different reporting options such as pivot tables and interactive location charts. Additionally all reports can be exported in a variety of formats and either emailed or published via online portals.
