ProjectCenter vs. Alternatives in 2024

Some of the main competitors for TouchBistro are Restaurant Manager and MaitreD POS.

Restaurant Manager is a POS solution that can be adapted for any type of food service operation. It is a cloud based solution that provides IPads which can be used as both fixed station POS units as well as mobile units for restaurant servers. Its features include reservations, staff scheduling, customer loyalty programs as well as payment processing. Additionally the product can support multi-store operations as well as online ordering.

TouchBistro in comparison also utilizes IPads as its POS device, but provides additional features such as payment at the table side, support for split bills and emailing of receipts, as well as ensuring orders taken are automatically updated to the kitchen. Other options include staff management, visual food menus and food stock management to ensure all ingredients are well sourced to meet menu requirements.

Another option is MaitreD POS which is hardware independent so restaurants can choose the units based on their requirements. Additionally for in-service restaurants there is an option to properly schedule multi-course meals, as well as options to note customer requirements to be added to regular menu orders. Other options include delivery management for fast food service restaurants and integration to online reservation services to handle restaurant bookings.

While TouchBistro does not handle some of these features, it does include a floor layout designer to plan the restaurant setup and allocate servers. Additionally while it is a cloud based solution, in the absence of an internet connection the solution can still operate using a local WiFi connection.
