Trimble ConstuctJob vs. Alternatives in 2024

Two important competitors of ConstructJob are Maxwell Systems and Co-construct. Maxwell Systems, just like ConstructJob, is designed for businesses of all sizes. While ConstructJob offers only online deployment model, Maxwell Systems offers both online as well as on premise deployment. Additionally, both systems have the same five modules.

The estimating and accounting modules of Maxwell Systems offer relatively richer features compared to the same modules on ConstructJob. Estimating features offered by Maxwell Systems that are not present on ConstructJob include 3D takeoff, bid comparison, digitizer integration.

Additional features on Maxwell Systems in the accounting module include accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, general ledger, and payroll processing. Maxwell Systems also offers integration with a wider range of applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Project, Word, as well as Primavera and QuickBooks.

The other competitor, Co-construct, is also intended for all business sizes and there is not a large difference between its features and those of ConstructJob. However, Co-construct offers only one accounting feature of job costing. Additionally, you can’t integrate Co-construct with any major applications. In the estimating module, Co-construct does not offer the features of BIM integration, cost database and takeoff, all of which are present on ConstructJob.
