AXIUM vs. Alternatives in 2024

The main competitors of Axium include BaseBuilders AE and Clearview Software.

BaseBuilders AE provides a solution to handle the project management and accounting requirements for architectural and engineering (A&E) firms. Its features include project tracking for bid preparation & submission, documentation & diagram preparations as well as resource allocation. There is also a CRM system for managing customers, their design requirements as well as proposals. Finally sub-contractors, suppliers and consultants can be tracked in terms of work completion & billable hours to ensure correct invoicing & revenue realizations, through its integration with Quickbooks for financial management.

Axium and its Ajera product provide a similar solution for A&E firms and it is available as a cloud based solution. While it includes some of the main core features of BaseBuilders AE, it also provides APIs for integration to third party applications. Additionally while it manages resource utilization & allocation, there is also a payroll system to handle consultant compensation, along with an integrated accounting system as well.

Clearview on the other hand provides its solution both on premise as well as in the cloud. In addition to the core features of Axium, the product also includes workflow automation & project planning, consultant time & expense tracking, as well as a sales & marketing module to manage customers and improve service delivery opportunities.

While Axium does not include these features currently, the product does provide mobile device access & management of the application. Additionally it includes executive dashboards to track project performance, delivery and profitability as well.
