OfficeSpace vs. Alternatives in 2024

The main competitors for OfficeSpace are MicroMain Facility Management and Planon Accelerator Space & Workplace Management.

MicroMain Facility Management is space planning & allocation software and it is available as a hosted or cloud based solution. The product provides an asset inventory service to log all items in a given facility in order to properly map them into facility diagrams. Additionally it includes computer aided facility drawings & maps, and can handle design changes, move planning, office seating assignments, as well as evacuation planning. There is also an option to plan office renovations with multi-phase moves to ensure offices stay operational.

OfficeSpace on the other hand is also cloud based with similar features, but with a visual directory service to show detailed information on employees and their physical office location along with integration options to other customer applications. Other options include support for flexible working hours to maximum usage of office space, and inventory management to handle office asset tracking & location as well.

Then there is Planon Accelerator Space & Workplace Management which also provides mobility solutions for infield and remote access. The product also supports office cost analysis to track vacant or underutilized space, planning tools for future space requirements, and interactive diagrams to redesign current office allocations. This is done through a bi-directional interface with AutoCad to seamlessly update office plans in real-time based on changes in requirements.

OfficeSpace does not support these features but it does include a report designer for customized reporting requirements, as well as analytic tools to monitor facility usage and plan for more efficient allocations.
