Zoho Assist vs. Alternatives in 2024

Zoho Assist’s main competitors are GoToAssist and ScreenConnect.

GoToAssist is a solution to enable the provision of remote support to customers. This is done by allowing agents to access customers’ computers for investigation and resolution of problems which cannot be resolved through other means. This support can also be provided to mobile phone users, and agents can also provide service using mobile devices as well. Additionally the product can handle multi-session support, file transfers and session recording for both quality & investigation purposes.

Zoho Assist is a similar tool which also includes a widget which can be embedded into websites for customers to initiate remote support requests. There is also a live chat option for agents to communicate with customers while they are in control of the computers. Additionally the product supports all operating systems and allows remote connections through most firewalls, but provides secure encrypted communication sessions as well.

ScreenConnect on the other hand although providing a similar solution, also allows customers to brand the product as their own when they provide remote support to their clients. Additionally the product is available as a vendor hosted or self hosted solution, and has an open architecture which means it can connect in a variety of ways to different customer platforms.

While Zoho Assist does not fully support these features; it does include multiple options for initiating customer support sessions. In addition it has reporting options to track remote support sessions for analysis & review, and can be integrated to accounting systems for billing of support charges when necessary.
