The software has in built quality assurance standards to ensure compliance with industry food safety standards such as SQF (Safety Quality Food), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative). Additionally it supports Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with Advanced Shipment Notification (ASN) as well as wireless devices integration for warehouse management.

As part of the Microsoft platform a data warehouse is provided with includes detailing reporting, dashboards and business analytics for productivity, performance and operational reviews. Plus there is full user driven system customization provided throughout the system to meet developing business requirements.

Other key features of BcFood include supply chain management, transportation and container tracking, production and inventory management as well as Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
