Infor EAM is a comprehensive suite of asset management tools. It offers solutions to the companies that increase the reliability, maintenance of asset and reduce energy usage. It helps companies to deploy maintenance resources efficiently, manage work processes, schedule maintenance based on asset condition and create customised reports to meet specific business ends.

Infor EAM is a product of Infor, founded in 2002. Since its launch Infor has developed products like Business Intelligence, Customer Relationship, Enterprise Resources and others.

Infor EAM is a scalable product that provides assistance to companies of any size. It targets start ups, small, medium and large enterprises. It provides industries specific solutions to Oil & Gas, Hospitality, Healthcare, Public Sector and Manufacturing industries.

Infor EAM offers suits like Maintenance where users can schedule jobs, assign personnel works, reserve materials and record costs.

Apart from that users can also record data about equipment, service contracts, spare parts and expected lifetime. It allows users to forecast asset failure points and provide reasons for them. Reports on asset performance are made available to the users so that user can comprehend the affect/effect of it. Users can also plan alternatives to increase their uptime.

Other than that, Infor EAM offers Reliability/risk management, Inventory/warranty and Strategic Planning modules to companies, globally.

The main competitors for Infor EAM include SAP EAM and IBM EAM.

SAP EAM includes asset operations & maintenance to ensure minimal work stoppages and optimal usage during working hours. There are also business analytic tools with dashboards to create visual representations of asset health & performance. Additionally SAP EAM includes standards for environment, health & safety along with energy conversation for assets. This is all integrated with a quality management system for inspections and defects minimization.

Infor EAM is a similar solution but focuses on increased asset reliability and better risk management. Assets can be organized in hierarchies with configuration manager to handle the digitized format & drawings of all assets. There is inventory management for spare parts as well as a preventive maintenance scheduler. Additionally Infor EAM supports warranty tracking & claims, workflow automation, calibration for inspections, as well as integration with GIS for location analysis.

IBM EAM on the other hand also includes mobile device support for real time infield tracking & update. It also supports asset location tracking with GIS support, but includes linear asset tracking as well. Additionally there is an inventory insights module to optimize asset storage locations which is integrated with analytics tools for business intelligence requirements. There is also a cost management facility to optimize usage levels and minimize idle times.

Infor EAM does not include all of these requirements but is available as an on premise, hosted, cloud based or hybrid model based on requirements. Additionally it also supports mobile devices and can handle fleet management and maintenance as part of its asset portfolio.
