ShopVue Software provides a Data Collection and Control software for the Factory Shop Floor. The solution offers a pre configured product that manages a factory’s orders, employees and machines, but is also customizable to the company’s operations.

Casco Development has been developing shop control solutions for over nearly thirty years. Its products include machine scheduling, order dispatching, factory production optimization as well as employee time and attendance.

ShopVue Software Typical Customers

ShopVue is focused on the manufacturing industry and includes sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, Consumer Products, Foundry & Forge, Medical Devices and Diagnostics, Pharmaceuticals and Paper & Printing. The product is scalable and can address both small & large customers. It is offered as an on premise solution and licensed based on the number of modules and terminals obtained. It can be accessed via a normal PC client or via the Web as well.

The solution is best suited for manufacturers that have an existing ERP system and want to extend it to the factory shop flow so that real time information can be obtained. This will enable factory & floor supervisors to reach quick & informed decisions proactively based on changing shop floor conditions and priorities.

ShopVue also works well with Manufacturers that need both labor tracking and machine monitoring that include such things as support for scrap and product defects, electronic routings as well as work instructions & drawings. The software is designed to be fully configurable by the users so there is minimal need for customization. In addition ShopVue delivers real time KPIs which can be used by manufacturers to focus on Lean Manufacturing processes.

ShopVue provides supervisors with real time information on the status of orders that include employee activity, materials selection with minimal defect rates, electronic dispatch, lot tracking as well as a graphical sequencer for dynamic job scheduling. The software utilizes wireless terminals for reporting of information that include RF Scanners, touch screen devices as well as tablets & mobile devices.

There is also support for monitoring of shop floor machinery that includes KPI performance analysis through Dashboards as well as integration of the machinery with ShopVue for real time information flow. Finally employee management is provided that includes time & attendance, access control, work time & productivity as well as incentive pay.

ShopVue also has standard integrations to most major ERP solutions like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Macola & Infor to name a few and if required a custom interface can be developed for those solutions not currently supported. In addition there are a number of standard management reports provided as well as the facility to develop custom reports as required. Typical implementation time for ShopVue is estimated between three to four weeks so manufacturers can expect to utilize the software quite quickly to return a faster Return on Investment (ROI).

Rootstock Shop Floor Control is a cloud based solution that is used to manage the production lifecycle of the manufacturing shop floor. Its features include work order management & routing, scheduling as well as materials planning & resource allocation. The product seeks to track production workflows for process improvements, as well as monitors material, resource & equipment costs in order to determine revenue feasibility. Production workers can also access the system via mobile devices for retrieval of work orders as well as to update production status.

In comparison ShopVue Software is a similar shop floor control system which is modular based so manufacturers can choose the options that meet their process requirements.
