DocSavy is a cloud based document management solution for small and medium businesses. It offers reasonable level of customization, centralized storage, accountability, and maintenance. The software was developed and released by DocSavy LLC headquartered in Colorado, United States.

DocSavy Features

The software reduces the burden of on-site administration and management through its cloud- based architecture. Documents are saved at a centralized location and can be accessed from anywhere. For easy location of required documents, the software tags the documents with customized titles. Each document page can be delivered separately between different locations for better viewing experience.

DocSavy gives clients the freedom to define and customize their own database with various document types and processes. The software also features a comprehensive auditing system to record all the edits made to the documents and folders. Other capabilities include asset management, company-wide permissions, and intuitive user interface.

DocSavy has two main competitors and these are Zoho Docs and SohoDox.

Zoho Docs is a cloud based document management system which supports a collaboration platform for real-time sharing of information such as documents, spreadsheets, presentations and numerous other digitized file formats. Additionally documents can be marked and flagged for action based on a task management system which can be shared by different members of a team. Finally customers have access to the Zoho App library for additional products which can be integrated to enhance productivity.

DocSavy on the other hand while also supporting a similar system provides users with logs to track documents on the basis of functions. These can include job assignments, information requests, maintenance jobs & company polices to name a few. In addition there is financial valuation feature that can assign a figure to a document to determine how important it is for either storage or processing. Examples include invoices, proposals and even contracts.

In comparison SohoDox offers a free product trial and is focused on the SMB sector. It includes a document repository, search facilities and DropBox integration. It provides a data drive accessible on the desktop, supports intelligent linking to group important documents, and it also supports document annotation as well as email storage if required. The product can also be purchased on a user basis, but with a perpetual license which requires no monthly fee and never expires.

While DocSavy only supports subscription based licensing, it does offer a free monthly demo plan which can be utilized as a full featured product trial. Once customers are satisfied they can choose priced packages which are based on storage requirements with unlimited user access.
