Edge Technologies Inc., the company behind Premier, is known for offering retail management solutions for desktop. The company offers traditional LAN/PC based systems which can be upgraded to cloud-based hosted system if required. Most of their software are Windows based.

The software offers both on-premise and cloud-based deployment option and is known for offering one of the first cloud-based retail solutions. Some of the key features of this software are: lay away and special order processing, work orders, inventory management, serialized inventory, customer relationship management, accounts receivable, defective returns management, accounting integration, advanced credit card processing, high resolution graphics for parts explosion and information and more.

The retail management solution also offers some customer management tools for tracking customers’ purchasing history, to get birthday alerts and can also create awards point program to attract customers. Other notable features of this software are: PDA integration, tablet and smartphone integration, QuickBooks integration and automated ordering.
