Pros

  • Can efficiently handle many bill runs. Large number of bills may come from the so many small time customers.
  • Good at quickly changing prices which may be due to market forces of supply and demand.
  • It simplifies the sales quotation process which is great for revenue forecasting.
  • Zuora offers live demo for users to be able to understand how it functions better.
  • It offers the user great flexibility and scalability as it can work in any industry and any size of business.

Cons

  • Its revenue recognition rules are very basic; this is a very serious issue since some of its classifications may not meet the laid down principles of revenue recognition.
  • Even though it deals with multiple currencies, it doesn't have currency conversion feature.
  • Zuora supports only English, meaning that those unable to speak English are not able to use it.
  • One Time products get given a single date as the time period. They also look clunky on invoices. The list of subscriptions may get cluttered as a result of this.
  • For those using SFDC, it can't report historic metrics like marginal rate of return.
