The software offers a variety of EHR capabilities such as patient visit report engine with templates, electronic prescription, lab orders and results, radiology orders and room scheduling, dictation and transcription, voice recognition, and meaningful use certification for ambulatory facilities. It offers dynamic scheduling to facilitate scheduling of multi-modality exams for one patient visit. The software also provides access to insurance eligibility and authorization status information.Opal-EHR features physician portal which streamlines patient scheduling and reduces the possibility of user errors. Referring physicians are provided access to images, reports, and scanned documents depending on facility permissions. Other important capabilities of the software include patient portal, facility dashboard, custom reporting, and others.
