The software was developed by Zoho Corporation, which was founded in 1996. The company creates various applications used in businesses, including CRM. Today, over 50,000 companies use Zoho CRM for their daily business operation.

Sugar CRM includes customer management & proactive selling based on predicted needs, social selling through collaboration sites, as well as team collaboration through its integrated social platform. Additionally customer support is also included to drive successful service & customer satisfaction level through efficient management & tracking of work orders.

Zoho CRM on the other hand is a workflow based system that focuses on lead generation & closure, as well as interaction with customers on multiple channels.
